Netholi, otherwise called Kozhuva or Anchovy is a small salt water fish, which is a rich source of calcium and minerals. It is best to leave the fishes marinated for some time, say 30 minutes, before you fry the fishes so that all the masala gets fully absorbed into it and enhances the flavour. You can also add curry leaves while frying the fish which will give a unique flavor and taste to the dish.
