Cornflakes laddoo is an easy-to-make, delicious Indian sweet. It can be served as a dessert as well. The most interesting thing about this laddoo is that it can be made with ingredients which are readily available in our kitchen. I would say most of our households with children, now-a-days have a stock of plain cornflakes. Ingredients such as sugar, nuts and ghee are also commonly available in our kitchen.

This is one of the sweets I can prepare in a jiffy when guests turn up on my door. Here I have a shared a recipe without coconut, you can add grated coconut also to this recipe if you are a coconut lover. These laddoos are perfect for cravings and quite an energy booster.

Ingredients

  • 100g Plain cornflakes
  • 100g Sugar
  • 5 tsps. Ghee
  • 2 tbsps. Almonds
  • 1 tsp. Raisin, optional for garnishing
  • 2 tbsps. Cashew nuts

 

Method

  • Grind sugar in a mixer.
  • Next crush the cornflakes in the mixer (not too fine).
  • Again mix the sugar and powdered cornflakes together.
  • Grind the almonds and cashew nuts in the mixer and mix it with the powdered sugar and cornflakes.
  • In a teaspoon of ghee fry the raisins. Warm the remaining ghee and add to the mixture.
  • Roll the mixture into laddoos of medium size.
  • Garnish with raisins.
  • Yummy cornflakes laddoo are ready to be served.
